Benefit Art Auction to support the
Fuquay-Varina Arts Council
The Fuquay-Varina Arts council (FVAC), is planning their 3rd annual Benefit Art Auction. The auction will be held Saturday, November 15th at 7PM (Preview reception will start at 6PM) at STARS THEATER & ARTS CENTER 123 East Vance Street, Fuquay-Varina. We are currently taking applications for consignments of Art of any media: oil, watercolor, acrylic, pastel, ink, mixed media, digital music/art, handcrafted pottery, sculpture, jewelry, metal, or woodcraft. Donations of classes, lessons, or camps that instruct in any art form are also appreciated. Submitted art will be juried by the Auction committee who will select the final number of pieces for the show. Each artist may submit up to 4 pieces. It is $10/members and $20/public registrants. Artists will receive 50% of the proceeds. The remaining proceeds will go to the Fuquay-Varina Arts Council to support their mission to inspire and enhance the lives of citizens in our community and beyond by developing appreciation of the arts, presenting arts programming and education, supporting local artists, & fostering creativity in the community. When registering, make note of the minimum bid you will accept for your work. Please keep in mind that 50% of the proceeds will go to the Arts Council when establishing your minimum bid.
The Benefit Art Auction will give artists a chance to increase exposure of their talent to the public and allow their creative works to be enjoyed and appreciated by others in the community.
